Gary D. Hanovich, MD
Dr. Hanovich earned his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis and completed internship and residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Iowa. Dr. Hanovich has been with CVC since its inception in July 1976 and currently heads our Research Department.



Subash Harwalkar, MD

Joining CVC in July 2007, Dr. Harwalkar is a graduate of the Osmania Medical College in Pradesh, India.  His residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiology were completed at the University of Minnesota where he was also a clinical instructor in the Department of Cardiology.  Dr. Harwalkar is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in cardiovascular disease.  His clinical interests include non-invasive imaging.



Douglas D. Hodgkin, MD, PhD
Dr. Hodgkin is a graduate of Loma Linda University Medical School. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado, his cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota, and his cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Bowman-Gray School of Medicine. Dr. Hodgkin joined our group in September 1997.



Bobbi L. Hoppe, MD
Dr. Hoppe is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by a cardiology fellowship and a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at the University of California in San Diego. Dr. Hoppe joined CVC in August 2005.



Andrew L. McGinn, MD
Dr. McGinn earned his medical degree at St. Louis University and completed his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis Veterans' Administration Hospitals. Dr. McGinn has been with CVC since April 1992.



Mary D. McLaurin, MD
Dr. McLaurin is a graduate of the University of North Dakota Medical School. She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where she was chief resident in Internal Medicine. Dr. McLaurin's cardiovascular training was completed at the University of Minnesota with a Nuclear Cardiology Certification. She completed a chief fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Dr. McLauring joined CVC in July 1997.



Bilal Murad, MD
Dr. Murad is a graduate of the Aga Khan University Medical School in Karachi, Pakistan.  He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.  He also completed one fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and another in interventional cardiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Murad has been with CVC since February 2005.



Ryan C. Oeltgen, MD
Dr. Oeltgen is currently completing his cardiology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.  He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati Medical School.  He completed his internship and residency at the University of California in San Diego.  Dr. Oeltgen is board certified in Internal Medicine.  His first day with us will be August 7, 2008.



Pamela R. Paulsen, MD
Dr. Paulsen is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She completed her post-doctoral training in Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the  University of Minnesota. Dr. Paulsen joined CVC in December 2000 and now serves as CVC's President.



A. Jody Rowland, MD
Dr. Rowland graduated from Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago. She completed an internship, residency and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Rowland has been at CVC since September 1992.



Retu Saxena, MD
Dr. Saxena joined us in April 2008.  At the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, she directed the echocardiography lab and ran the women's heart program.  She is a gradutate of the University of Minnesota Medical School.  Her residency and fellowship were completed at Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, where she also completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.  Dr. Saxena is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.



Andrew J.K. Smith III, MD
Dr. Smith is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston Medical School.  He completed his residency and cardiology fellowships at the University of Minnesota.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Electrophysiology.  Dr. Smith joins our group in June 2008.



George M. Tadros, MD

Joining CVC in July 2007, Dr. Tadros is a graduate of the Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt.  He completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.  His cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships were completed at the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Tadros also earned a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Research from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.  He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.  His clinical interests include coronary and peripheral intervention with a special emphasis on vascular medicine.




Brandi J. Witt, MD (Photo Not Yet Available)
Until Dr. Witt joins us in August, 2008, she is completing her cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School.  She completed her internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic.  While there she also earned a Master's Degree in clinical research.  Dr. Witt is board certified in Internal Medicine.
