H1N1-Related Visitor Restrictions Lifted

H1N1 influenza activity in the community continues to decline, so effective immediately, all visitor restrictions related to H1N1 influenza have been lifted at North Memorial.

As always, we continue encourage visitors to take basic measures to prevent the spread of illness:

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • Put your used tissue in the waste basket.
  • If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow, not your hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds.
  • If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub.

Information about seasonal and H1N1 influenza is available from the Minnesota Department of Health.
