Cardiologists and staff from North Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute have been providing inpatient consultations, echocardiography, and stress testing services at Maple Grove Hospital. Recently, North Memorial has expanded its outpatient cardiovascular services with the opening of North Memorial Heart & Vascular Center in Maple Grove.
Located on the second floor of North Memorial’s Medical Office Building, adjacent to Maple Grove Hospital, the facility opened in mid June.
Patients in Maple Grove and surrounding communities now have access to comprehensive outpatient cardiovascular services including cardiology clinic office consultations and follow up visits, pacemaker checks, cholesterol testing and heart failure care. The center also includes full outpatient heart and vascular diagnostic and rehabilitative services such as echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, stress testing, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac rehabilitation.
Michael Arend, executive director of cardiovascular services, explains that cardiologists from North Memorial have long cared for heart patients in the northwest metro area, and this expansion adds a new level of convenience and access.
"Many of our heart patients have been served primarily at our main clinic at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale," he says. "Our new site in Maple Grove improves access to care for our existing patients, while also creating capacity so that new patients can take advantage of North Memorial’s heart and vascular care."
Appointments are now being scheduled at the Maple Grove office. Call (763) 581-5300 for more information.
North Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute also operates a heart clinic in Monticello, next to New River Medical Center, and the Women’s Heart & Vascular Clinic at WestHealth in Plymouth.
