Our staff includes some of the best in the Twin Cities area.

 

Andy Vaaler, MD, Pulmonologist, Sleep Specialist and Medical Director

Andy Vaaler, MD, is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He is board certified in sleep medicine and has extensive experience in the field. Dr. Vaaler lives in south Minneapolis with his wife and two children. He enjoys music of all kinds.

 

Ranji Varghese, MD, Psychiatrist, Sleep Specialist and Medical Director

Ranji Varghese, MD is a board certified psychiatrist. He completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester) where he served as Chief Resident. He completed a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, where he conducted research on various sleep disorders. Dr. Varghese believes that a strong patient doctor relationship is the cornerstone for successful outcomes. He currently sees both adult and pediatric patients.

 

Jason Cornelius, MD, Neurologist, Sleep Specialist and Associate Medical Director

Dr. Cornelius is looking forward to joining the North Memorial Sleep Health Center in July 2010, following completion of a comprehensive sleep medicine fellowship program at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester). He is board certified in neurology after completing residency training and serving as Chief Resident for the Mayo Clinic Department of Neurology. Dr. Cornelius is excited to be moving to the Minneapolis area along with his wife and young daughter.

 

Amy Knopke-Mooney, M.D, Internist, Pulmonologist, Critical Care and Sleep Specialist

Amy Knopke-Mooney, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2001. She completed her residency training at Hennepin County Medical Center in 2004 and her fellowship training at the University of Minnesota in 2007. She has worked at Respiratory Consultants since then and has thoroughly enjoyed the additional breadth of experiences that Sleep Medicine has provided. Her biggest joy in medicine is helping educate her patients on ways to improve all aspects of their health. Outside of work she enjoys running, which includes running after her two kids but she also managed to finish her first marathon this year.
